Antalya Airport Transfers: Taxi, Tram, Bus & Private Transfer

How to get from the airport to Antalya city and the resorts

Antalya Airport (AYT) is one of the busiest holiday airports in Europe, and almost everyone heading to the Turkish Riviera lands here. The city centre is close, but the resorts are spread along more than 150 km of coast, so it pays to plan your transfer before you fly. Here are your options, with distances and travel times to each resort.

🌿 Good to know

In high summer (July and August) and on Saturdays, the main changeover day for package holidays, roads to the resorts are busy. Book your transfer in advance and allow extra time for your return flight.

Distances from Antalya Airport

  • Antalya city centre / Kaleiçi: about 13 km, 20–30 minutes.
  • Lara: about 15 km, 20–25 minutes.
  • Konyaaltı: about 25 km, 30–40 minutes.
  • Belek: about 35 km, 30–40 minutes.
  • Kemer: about 55–60 km, around 1 hour.
  • Side and Manavgat: about 65–75 km, around 1 hour.
  • Alanya: about 125 km, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours. Gazipaşa–Alanya Airport is closer if your flight goes there.

Private transfer (most comfortable)

  • Door to door: a driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign and takes you straight to your hotel.
  • Fixed price per vehicle, not per person, so it is good value for families and groups.
  • Child seats are usually available on request; ask when you book.
  • VIP minivans are popular for families with lots of luggage.

Shared shuttle

  • Cheaper than a private car: you share a minibus with other travellers going the same way.
  • Slower: the bus stops at several hotels, so allow extra time, especially to Side and Alanya.

Taxi

  • Official taxi ranks are right outside arrivals. Taxis use a meter in the city; for long trips to the resorts, agree the price before you set off.
  • Good for short trips to Lara, the city centre or Konyaaltı.

Public transport to Antalya city

  • Tram (AntRay): a tram line links the airport with the city centre. It is cheap and avoids traffic, but less handy with big suitcases.
  • Airport buses: shuttle buses and city buses run between the airport, the city centre and the main bus station (otogar).
  • Antalyakart: city buses and trams use a travel card, sold at kiosks and machines.

Car rental at Antalya Airport

  • Rental desks of international and local companies are in the arrivals area, and many local firms deliver the car to the terminal.
  • Useful if you want to explore ancient sites such as Aspendos, Perge and Termessos, mountain villages and quieter beaches.
  • Check the insurance and the fuel policy, and take photos of the car before you drive away.
