Babadağ rises 1,969 meters almost straight out of the sea behind Ölüdeniz, and its height and reliable thermals have made it one of the world's busiest paragliding sites. The trip starts with a drive up the winding mountain road to the launch points, then a running takeoff into 45 to 60 minutes of flight. The route carries you out over the Ölüdeniz Blue Lagoon, along a coastline of coves and pine forest, and over Fethiye itself before a landing directly on Ölüdeniz Beach. Flights cost roughly 800 to 1,200 lira including transport, with GoPro footage sold separately for 200 to 300 lira. Weight limits of about 45 to 110 kilograms apply, and weather can shift schedules, so allow a spare day.

Fethiye's terrain supports serious outdoor sport. Paragliders launch from Babadağ, nearly 2,000 meters above the Blue Lagoon, and the Lycian Way long-distance trail starts just outside town.
